Civil ceremony

Civil ceremonies take place in Town Halls which are usually ancient palazzos and museums.
The service is performed in Italian and translated by an interpreter and is about 15-20 minutes.
After reading the civil vows, the couple sign the wedding act together with the witnesses and receive the wedding certificate in several copies which has legal validity throughout the world.

The minimum stay required is usually 3\4 days before the marriage can take place.
Town Hall ceremonies are usually performed from Mondays to Saturdays and must be booked in advance. Upon confirmation we will provide you with the list of all the documents required by the local Registrar.
A registry fee is usually required by most of the town halls where many ceremonies take place such as Florence, Siena, San Gimignano, Venice, Rome etc…

Religious ceremonies

Catholic Wedding Ceremonies
Catholic ceremonies are usually performed in a Church and seldom in private locations; they can only be celebrated when either the bride or the groom are catholic. Italian priests may perform both a catholic and civil wedding ceremony if all the legal paperwork are provided.
We can arrange Catholic weddings in the most ancient churches of the city of art as well as in small chapels throughout Tuscany. We will advise you on the correct paperwork required by the Roman Catholic Church and by the local authorities in Italy according to your nationality.
We require a month as the absolute minimum to give the priest and bishop in Italy time to review the paperwork sent by the bishop of your city of residence.

Protestant Wedding Ceremonies
It is also possible to perform Protestant Wedding Ceremonies in Anglican churches with English-speaking priests such as St. James' or St Mark's in Florence.

Blessing or renewal of vows
For those who do not want to or can not hold a formal civil or religious wedding with all the legal paperwork, a blessing may represent a beautiful alternative.
The blessing is not legally binding as it is merely symbolic and no paperwork is required; it consists of an English speaking officiant and can take place anywhere as there are no restrictions for any couple who has already had a civil ceremony either in Italy or in the country of origin.

Any other service that is usually involved in a Wedding can be applied.
The perfect setting for this ceremony are castles, villas, Italian gardens and parks and of course the villa where you are staying and having your reception.
